The movement (clockworks) used is American-made by David Lindow & Co. It is an eight-day, cable wound, weight driven mechanism of superb quality. This is an historically correct reproduction of an American style bell strike movement that will count the hours, sounding only at the top of the hour. There are no musical chimes, or strike shut-off. The clock is to be wound once each week with the winding key provided.

The clock was designed, and the case work fabricated by Howard R. Lehning, a Roycroft Master Artisan and owner of HR Lehning Fine Furniture & Timepieces. The metalwork is by Ronald VanOstrand, a Roycroft Master Artisan and owner of the VanOstrand Metal Studio. The hand carving is by Thomas Bojanowski, a Roycroft Master Artisan. The glasswork is by Peggy Eisensmith, owner of Aurora Art Glass.

The hardwood cases are fabricated one at a time, and finished with an oil stain and lacquer. The surface is hand rubbed, and protected with a top coat of hard paste wax.

The dial, weight shells, pendulum bob, hinge overlays and escutcheons are hand wrought copper with a pleasing patina, protected with a top coat of clear lacquer. The working hinge barrels, clock hands, and locks are brass. The door locks are keyed alike.

A note on Installation: Any tall case clock is inherently top-heavy, and therefore should not be installed on a carpeted surface, but on a solid, hard floor. This also prevents the introduction of any unwanted motions that might affect the timekeeping ability of the clock.
